Staff
Director: April Allen
April was a Pathfinder as a youth in Arizona for four years. Now she is
a director of the Mountaineers. Her duties include organizing events and
weekly meetings, teaching honors, teaching AY classes, recruting new
members, and spiritual leadership.
Associate Director: Michael Allen
Michael was a Pathfinder as a youth in Washington. He especially enjoys
teaching honors such as archery, animal tracking and orienteering. His
duties include organizing events, teaching honors, teaching AY classes,
supervising, and counseling.
Teen Leadership Training (TLT): Maryann Harris
Maryann joined Pathfinders at the age of 14. Through her detertermination
to accelerate her work in the AY classwork and her leadership qualities,
was choosen to continue in Pathfinders in the Teen Leadership Training
program. The TLT program is designed to train future pathfinder leaders.
She has been a staff member for one year, the first of four years in which
her duties will be limited and rotated each year. Her duties this year
include: assisting the teaching of honors and AY classwork, and
supervision.
The Tehachapi Mountaineers also rely heavily on the pathfinder parents
to get things done. Each parent helps out by doing a specific job.
