One of the focuses of this campout was cooperation. Each christian has
a specific purpose in the church and has been given spiritaul gifts for
that purpose (ICorinth 14:12). Romans 12 tells us that each of us is
different and unique like the parts of the human body. Each part of your
body has a job and no part is better than the rest. It's the same with
the church, we all need each other. Here are some examples that we thought
of:

|
One activity that we did to learn how christians work together is make rope. We started with vines. Each person must twist and add new vines for it to work. No single vine goes the whole length. We made several of these small ropes.
|
The small ropes are then twisted together to make a bigger rope. We used bundles of three.
|
|
The finished product is flexable and uniform. If you do it right, it shouldn't want to come unwraveled. |
|
The real moment of truth came when the pathfinders tested the
rope to see if it really would hold thier weight.
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12) |

We also met a butterfly expert from Bakersfield named Mr. Davenport.
|
And we made T-shirts that say "Meet me in heaven"
